Kate Pawlicki  Founder / Principal

Kate brings extensive experience in marketing, new product launch, and creative strategy experience to her role as founder of PULP INC, a Seattle-based marketing services firm. Launching Pulp Lab, a real-time focus group, is the latest talented twist in her 18-year career.

Kate's experience is extensive. She has handled a wide array of marketing and publicity initiatives, product launches, content partnerships, and planned events for a broad spectrum of clients from Safeco Insurance to Microsoft Corporation to Geffen Records to Zeitgeist Films.

As an experienced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial marketing expert, Kate offers her clients a unique combination of creative talent with her keen ability for business and marketing.

With Pulp Lab she draws on both her analytic and creative strategy strengths to help clients build and measure real-time buzz around their brands in a pop-up retail setting. Building on years of corporate work with startups and Fortune 500 clients she leverages imaginitive concepts developed in a small, independent consultancy environment

Kate holds a B.A. from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Northwest Entrepreneur Network, Future Trends, International Association of Business Communicators and the National Alliance for Media Art + Culture.

Bill Engler  |  CEO, BrandFriends

Bill has been helping identify untapped opportunities and develop comprehensive business strategies and marketing plans for corporations such as Clorox, Motorola, Sprint, Heinz, Phillips, and Proctor and Gamble as well as successful web 2.0 companies such as Proflowers.com and Tickets.com.

In addition to strategy, Bill is highly experienced in designing, conducting, and analyzing customer research, utilizing quant and qual, ethnographic and psychographic research methodologies. And he knows good focus group food.

He has touched every aspect of marketing from product innovation to pricing, packaging, positioning, channel development, PR, promotion, and advertising.

Prior to partnering with Pulp, Bill worked with BrandLogic as SVP Strategy and Planning, director of Brand Strategy and Interbrand, and before that The New England Consulting Group.

Bill earned his MBA at San Diego State, his MS in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton, and his cooking skills at his Mamma's knee.
